Our Christian Life Devotion Verse:
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,
continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him,
strengthened in the faith as you were taught,
and overflowing with thankfulness.
- Colossians 2:6-7
What are your answers to the following question:
1. Is it true that Jesus was resurrected?
2. Did Jesus commit sin?
3. Do all religions practice the same basic ideas?
In the book Boiling Point written by George Barna and Mark Hatch, a lot of people claiming they are christian have a hard time with such questions. According to their surveys, 1/4 believe Jesus committed sins, 1/3 said Jesus did not resurrect, and 1/3 said all religions practice the same basic ideas.
These alarming statistics reveal a serious lack of biblical understanding and proofs that not all people claiming they are christian know the truth about Jesus. The answers of the questions are the basics that christian should know. As christian, it is our big responsibility to spread the word of God and tell the good news and to that we should be prepared on answering such questions that non-believers or believers throw.
"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, (1 Peter 3:15).
So, what is our solution to be sure that our christian faith is firmly established?
(Colossians 2:7).
- We must have our bible reading everyday with dedication.
