Our Christian Life Devotion Verse:
All things are wearisome, more than one can say.
The eye never has enough of seeing, or the ear its
fill of hearing. - Ecclesiastes 1:8
In a travel agency, a guy wished to have a trip on a cruise.
"Where do you want to go, sir?" he was asked. "I don't know yet," the
guy replied. So the agent took a large map and suggested him to take a look.
He did what the agent said and took a peek for minutes, then frustratedly he
said, "Is this all you have to offer? Is there something else?"
In this world we are living, many things attract us. Except from
what is wrong or ungodly, we have the permission to enjoy its pleasures.
A bright sunshine kissing us every morning graced with the company of
friends totally complete our day. The inspiring beauty of nature mesmerizes
our eyes with its wonder. Nice music comforts our souls and other pleasurable
to our senses can be fulfilling. And yet these wonderful things still don't
offer a genuine satisfaction. Even people
who live in silver spoon, no matter how great their achievements are,
will always long for more. It makes no difference how much they enjoyed
world's pleasures,their crave is unsatisfied.
Like Solomon said that "all is vanity and grasping for the wind"
(Ecclesiastes 2:17).
